Butlins
Butlins invests in Clenzair’s pioneering air purification system as part of its extensive measures to ensure a safe reopening.
Butlins Bognor Regis is protected by Clenzair’s Needlepoint Bipolar Ionisation air purification system. The system installed kills 99.9% of all airbourne and surface bacteria and viruses. It also eliminates and neutralises 99.9% gases, odours, mould and Volatile Organic Compounds, both in the air and on surfaces, creating a continuously, safe environment 24/7. It has even been tested on a live strain of SARS-CoV-2 the Covid-19 causing pathogen and is proven to kill 99.9% of the virus.
The technology has gone through rigorous testing with robust test results proving its effectiveness and efficiency in eliminating harmful viruses and bacteria. Another massive bonus is that there is only one up front cost. The units are self-cleaning, maintenance free with no expensive filters or UV bulbs in need of replacing)
Jon Hendry-Pickup, Managing Director of Butlin’s, said: “Butlin’s has always focused on innovating, and we’re delighted to be working in partnership with Clenzair to trial this cutting edge technology in Bognor Regis. “Our guests told us that they felt really safe and secure as we reopened last summer after the first lockdown. This year we want to go even further to ensure everyone can enjoy that Butlin’s experience, safe in the knowledge that we’re looking after their wellbeing.
“Purification technology is used widely in commercial environments, particularly in the USA, but has so far received limited use in the UK. The pandemic has heightened demand for such systems and we’re pleased that an iconic brand such as Butlin’s is at the forefront of this development. Once we’ve had time to assess how the system operates in our large event spaces then we’ll look at rolling it out at our other venues.
“The countdown is now on for our grand reopening on May 17 – this is another important development as we look to deliver the best Butlin’s ever for 2021.”
Laurie Mcilwee, director of Clenzair, said: “Clenzair technology neutralises viruses and provides cleaner, safer air. The patented needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI®) technology can be found in more than 300,000 installations worldwide including the White House. “It’s been a pleasure to work with Butlins who are leading the way in the UK, to make indoors as safe as outdoors for its customers and team.”
We have covered various areas of the resort with the largest being centre stage. Here we have installed Clenzair fans covering a total of 4601m2. Currently working in these areas, we have teams from Syntegra monitoring and testing the air quality. Syntegra will provide independent test results of the air quality before and after the Clenzair fans were installed. They are testing all aspects of the air quality from monitoring bacteria and harmful pathogens in the room to levels of VOC’s and ion readings to monitor the concentration levels of ions. This allows Butlins staff and customers to see the results of the Clenzair devices, giving them peace of mind they are protected by Clenzair air purification.
