The NPBI In-Duct is an extremely advanced design. It is an auto-cleaning, lightweight, duct-mounted needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI™) electronic air cleaner. It is completely maintenance-free unit and is designed for indoor duct mounting and its weathertight seals allow for external duct mounting, it can handle up to 4,800 CFM or 12 tons.

THE TECHNOLOGY

The NPBI – Needlepoint Bi-Polar Ionisation In-Duct device works by the technology producing a high concentration of positive and negative ions, delivering them to the desired space via the ventilation system. Within the air stream, ions attach to particles, where they combine, become larger and are more easily filtered from the air. When ions come in contact with pathogens, they disrupt the pathogens’ surface proteins, rendering them inactive and no longer harmful. The technology has also been tested against SARS COV2 pathogen with 99.9% inactivation rate
